The final result of recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools of the country has been published. 37 thousand 574 people have passed it.
The results is available in the website of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education www.mopme.gov.bd as well as the website of the Directorate of Primary Education www.dpe.gov.bd. The result has also been informed via SMS on passed candidates mobile phones.
Notification published in 2020 for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers in Primary. According to the approved posts of the circular, 32 thousand 577 posts of teachers were to be appointed, but the initiative was taken to increase it. In a meeting of the ministry in March this year, journalists were told that 45,000 assistant teachers will be hired. As more than 10,000 posts were vacant due to retirement, it was decided to increase the posts.
But after the written and oral examination, before the final results were announced, there were doubts about increasing the number of posts. Job seekers protested to demand increase in posts. The job aspirants also submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner’s Office and the District Primary Education Office in 61 districts demanding the appointment of the maximum number of vacant posts and increasing the number of posts in the ongoing recruitment process.
On November 28, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education informed that the final result will be published on December 14 after the verification of actual vacancies. Now 5000 posts have been increased along with the sanctioned posts in the notification.
This is the biggest recruitment circular so far in the history of government primary school teacher recruitment program. Online application starts on 25 October 2020. 13 lakh 9 thousand 461 candidates applied. The written and oral examination for the recruitment is conducted in three phases but the final result is declared only once. 40 thousand 862 people passed the written exam in the first phase, 53 thousand 595 in the second phase and 57 thousand 368 in the third phase.
